The Eagle Group of Companies has diverse
business interests in India since 1947. Group activities
include the
following:
Plaza cinema,
one of the oldest cinemas in delhi has been a land
mark in connaught place, was constructed much before
1947. In 1968, the present owners shut down the
hall for 90 days for complete renovation, and reopened
in november 1968. Before renovation plaza cinema
was running with the water cooling systems and projection
system with 35mm. After renovation plaza was reopened
with addition of 200-225 seats.
There has been
a number of blockbusters with which plaza
is associated. Some of them being sholay,
ddlj, k3g, gadar etc.
Once again the cinema hall was shut down for
renovation in march 2003, and reopened in
may 2004 with state of the art cinema with
300 seats on the first floor with the latest
sound system, projector system, executive
sitting launge etc. For which we have entered
into management agreement with pvr cinemas.
Apart from the cinema hall on the first floor
we have a restaurant by the name of mirchi.
On the ground floor, there is an area of about
12000 sq.f.t., which is leased out to m/s
ara hospitality pvt ltd. Who has come up with
a multicousine restaurant in the name of “piccadelhi”.
“plaza mall” will be the
only development of its kind in the connaught
place.
