Eagle theatre was constituted as a
partnership firm and even today it is continueing
as a partnership firm owning of two theatres, i.e.
plaza cinema at delhi and minerva cinema at bombay.
Both the theatres were purchased in october 1963,
and the posession of minerva cinema was given to us
shortly, and the posession of plaza was given to us
in the month of may 1964. |

Plaza cinema,
one of the oldest cinemas in Delhi has
been a land mark in Connaught Place, was
constructed much before 1947. In 1968,
the present owners shut down the hall
for 90 days for complete renovation, and
reopened in November 1968. Before renovation
plaza cinema was running with the water
cooling systems and projection system
with 35mm. After renovation plaza was
reopened with addition of 200-225 seats. |

Minerva
was fully demolished to the ground
and totally reconstructed and reopened
with 1501 seats, which was the largest
capacity in Maharashtra and one
of the largest in India with latest
Dolby Digital sound system and projection
system. |
